The Brave Warriors played to a frustrating goalless draw with Comoros Island but advance 2-0 on aggregate in African Nations Championship CHAN finals qualifiers.
Following the draw on Sunday afternoon at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, coach Bobby Samaria rues the missed chances by the Brave Warriors after a dominant display.
“First half, we ran at them and we had chances to score. The same story second half which we did not convert and I guess luck was not on our side today but we managed the game very well”, Samaria states.
The coach adds that the introduction of Gustav Isaacks was to unlock the Comoran defensive play.
” We had to try and get around them and the changes we madewith Image can dribble and he did very well but again our final ball was not perfect”, Says Samaria.
Namibia will now prepare to play Eritrea for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Finals Preliminaries between 02 to 10 September 2019 with the clash away for the Brave Warriors to happen first.
For the 2020 CHAN Qualifiers, Namibia will ow take will on take on either Mozambique or Madagascar in the final round of the qualification between 20 September and 18 October 2019 to reach CHAN 2020 to be hosted by Cameroon.
